For a memorial diamond, a real diamond is created from a part of the ashes or hair of a loved one.
The diamond is produced in a specialized process in which the carbon it contains is processed and processed into a real diamond. The size, shape and design can be selected individually.
After cremation, a portion of the ashes – or alternatively hair – is selected for production. The remaining ashes are returned to the funeral home and can be interred at a location of choice.
In a specialized laboratory, the carbon contained is purified and processed, as diamonds are chemically composed of pure carbon.
Under high pressure and high temperature, a real diamond is created over several months. Size and cut can be chosen individually.
The finished memorial diamond can be kept as a personal keepsake or set into a piece of jewelry. The entire process takes - depending on size - 4-8 months.
