What is a Erdbestattung?

A burial is a traditional and deep-rooted form of farewell that brings comfort to many people. For relatives, choosing a grave offers a place of remembrance where they can feel close to the deceased person.

The process of a burial

The Burial Usually Begins with a Funeral Service In most cases, the ceremony takes place in a cemetery chapel or church. It can be enriched by music, personal speeches and symbolic acts, such as the laying of flowers or the blessing. The organization of this celebration can vary greatly depending on the faith, tradition or personal wishes of the deceased person and their relatives. It doesn't have to be quiet and grey anymore, but should suit you and the deceased person. We are happy to support you here with ideas.

After the funeral service, the coffin is accompanied to the grave by the mourning community. This is where the actual burial takes place, during which the coffin is lowered into the ground. A final greeting is often said at this point, a prayer is recited or a poem is recited. Many relatives find the farewell ritual of throwing the earth — in which soil or flowers are sprinkled on the coffin — as particularly connecting and comforting. After the Burial, the Survivors Are Left with a Grave, Which They Can Visit as a Place of Remembrance and Reflection.

Thank you Mrs. Haan, I was unable to arrange for my beloved husband's funeral elsewhere. What all that happens to you and what you have to manage. Suddenly you're all alone but thanks to Mrs. Haan, I've overcome the hardest time of my life. The funeral service was very emotional and thanks also for The Funeral Speaker. My laundering after the resting place was also
fulfilled. You can't thank them enough as sensitively as they were for me during this difficult time.
Much love to you.
Kind regards

Ursula Z.
